Dear Fellow Bootstrap Entrepreneur:

It’s a burning question inside my own mind, so I’ve gotta come straight out and ask you directly.

Are you literally sick and tired of watching the marketing B.S. out there by folks that are highly under-qualified?

Are you sick of seeing those large dollar claims in your email box and being poked, prodded and teased with supposedly great marketing info that leaves you feeling incomplete?

Good — I’m glad you feel that way — because I’m honestly sick and f’n tired of it.

And I plan to do something about it immediately!

While the FTC is putting their foot down and the internet marketing community has taken notice, marketers will continue making it seem like coming by a fast pay day on the internet is extremely FAST and EASY.

(Underneath my breath:  “BULLSHIT!”)

Here’s a perfect example of what I mean.

Back in 2004, I had an email conversation with an online marketer by the name of Jim Edwards – you may have heard of him.

I told him about all these great internet marketing articles I had written that I thought people could benefit from.

He could tell my enthusiasm and said that I should “get it out there.”

While I’m sure he meant well and I do believe that taking action is an essential element, there was something missing.

I was flat broke and still working the same dead end corporate job (which I was determined to find a way to leave btw so I would have a fair chance at retirement).

But here’s the worst thing of all.

I had NO online income to show or backup that anything I said was even true or effective or whether I was just the blind leading blind.

How could I (with any integrity) start dispensing marketing information on the internet without having an iota of experience of what I was talking about?

Sure, I had mere observations, but big deal.  They were unfounded without me actually doing something like creating a million dollar business, or even a six figure business.

And I could have easily been like many of these internet marketers who get all excited when making commissions or money in the amount $5,682 or $12,692 or even $33,068 and then turning around and putting all the information that made the money into an information product.

After mulling it over, I told myself that if there was ever a way I was going to create a long term online career and reputation, I would need to to approach this from a wiser angle.
Let’s flash forward now here into the present in the year we’re at now and check-in and see where things are at right now.

NO longer do I work for “the man” as I left my last job in July 2005 as an employee for someone else and haven’t looked back since.

Having struggled from 2001 through 2005 without making a single penny to moving forward, breaking through and creating not one, but two million dollar businesses.

And now, I’m going to share with you all my struggles so you don’t have to!

But more importantly, I’m going to share all the trials and tribulations of what led up to my success and the struggles now 4 years into it (don’t think that making $10,000, $20,000 or even $50,000 a month doesn’t come with its challenges trying to sustain that).

Here was my big problem.

I didn’t want to create some old boring print newsletter that people would just put aside in the “to read later” folder. (Yeah, I have one of those too).

Nope!

Heck with being conventional.
